4. 광고 (Google AdMob)
(Apple)
(Face ID)
SSN DEV Studio · Link Notebook (iOS) · Effective October 26, 2026 · Version 1.1
This policy applies to the iOS app "Link Notebook" (링크공책, including its share extension, the "App") provided by SSN DEV Studio ("we", "us").
There is no sign-up or login for an account of ours. We run no servers, and we do not collect or receive your personal information.
The links, notes and categories you save are stored on your device and in your own iCloud (a CloudKit private database), and stay in sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. We cannot see this data. The text and photos of archives (Plus) are not sent to iCloud and are kept separately on each device.
When you save a link, the App loads that link's page directly from your device to read it, so the site receives a request just like a normal page visit. Page analysis, including Apple Intelligence, happens on your device.
The App shows Google AdMob ads, and Google processes device information to serve them. Your links and notes are not used for ads. With Plus, the App does not start the ad SDK.
Apple processes in-app purchases.
1. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following information on your device. Links and categories are kept in on-device storage shared by the App and its share extension (App Group).
Links: address, title, site domain, main image address and a resized image, page kind, details read from the page (price, original price, sale end and store; event type, ticket opening, deadline, start and venue; address, opening hours and place type; outlet and reading time), three-line summary, tags, notes, highlighter color, when you saved, opened and finished the link, and the analysis status and confidence
Categories: name, emoji, color, whether Auto-file is on, and order
Archives (Plus): the text of archived pages and the photos in them (up to 20 per link)
Settings: Read page body, whether App lock is on, appearance, notebook style (paper, ink and handwriting font), archive settings (Auto Archive, Archive Photos Too, Photos on Wi‑Fi only), whether you have seen first-time tips, and a dismissed clipboard banner
Ads and purchases: when ads first started (so full-screen ads stay off for the first 7 days), how many links you saved since the last full-screen ad, and whether you bought Plus (remembered so the App can decide about ads right away on launch, and checked again with Apple)
Ad consent: your answers to Google's consent form in regions where consent is required (stored on the device by Google's consent tool)
This information is deleted from your device when you delete the App (links and categories in iCloud remain; see section 8). It may be included in device backups (such as iCloud), which are managed by Apple. Links and categories are also stored in your own iCloud through the iCloud sync in section 8; apart from that, the App does not send this information to us or anywhere else. For things you share or export yourself, see section 6.
2. Network requests when you save a link
When you save a link, the App (or its share extension) requests that link's page directly from your device. Nothing passes through our servers.
It gets the title and main image with iOS link previews (LinkPresentation).
If Read page body is on (the default), it also downloads the start of the page's HTML (up to 1.5 MB) and the main image the page points to. It uses a one-time connection that keeps no cookies or cache, and sends Safari-style browser information and language preferences (Korean first).
For Instagram, Threads, Facebook, X (Twitter) and TikTok links, it does not download the page body and only gets the title and main image.
The same requests are sent again if you saved before analysis finished, or when you tap Try Again. Refetching the page photo in the detail view downloads the main image again; if link previews find no image, it downloads the page HTML to find one, regardless of the Read page body setting.
The site, and the server hosting its main image, may receive your IP address, the requested address and browser information, just as with a normal page visit. Each site handles this under its own policies.
The downloaded page is analyzed on your device. The page kind and fields come from structured data on the page and the App's rules. On supported devices with Apple Intelligence turned on, Apple's on-device language model (Foundation Models) reads the link address, title, description, the start of the page text (up to 1,500 characters) and your category names to write a summary, tags, fields and a matching category. This analysis is not sent to us.
3. Archive (Plus)
When you use Archive with Plus, the App opens the saved link's page in an off-screen web view (WebKit) and extracts the main text. This is like opening the page in a browser, so the site and other servers the page loads from (images, ads, analytics scripts and so on) may receive requests. It uses a one-time session that keeps no cookies or history, and does not autoplay video.
If Archive Photos Too is on, it downloads up to 20 photos from the page body for each link and stores resized copies. When downloading a photo, it sends the original page address to the photo's server (Referer). With Photos on Wi‑Fi only turned on, photos are not downloaded over cellular.
The text and photos of archives stay in the App's storage on this device and are not sent to us or to iCloud, so on your other devices with the same Apple Account, pages need to be archived again on that device. You can delete this device's archives with Clear All under Settings > Plus > Archive, and deleting a link deletes its archive.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and the consent tool (User Messaging Platform) from Google LLC to show ads between links in the home list (native ads, one slot every 8 links) and a full-screen ad on every third link you save inside the App (none for the first 7 days after ads first start, and at least 3 minutes apart). The share extension (the save screen opened from another app's share sheet) shows no ads. The App does not pass your links, notes or categories to Google when requesting ads.
Google may collect and process the following information to serve ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud.
Advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking in iOS
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Device information such as model, operating system, and language
Ad interactions such as views and taps, and diagnostic information
Before starting ads, the App asks once with the iOS tracking prompt (it does not ask if you bought Plus). The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow it; if you don't, it is not used.
In regions where consent is required (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and similar regions), the App shows Google's consent form before loading any ads. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings › Ads › Ad Privacy Settings. See Privacy Choices for your options about ads.
With Plus, both the list ads and full-screen ads go away. The App starts with the purchase status it last confirmed and then checks again with Apple; with Plus, it does not start the ad SDK or the consent tool. If you buy Plus while using the App, it stops showing and loading ads from then on. Google may have processed the information above while you used the App before buying Plus, or in a session where ads started before the purchase check finished, such as right after reinstalling.
5. In-app purchases (Apple)
Payment for Link Notebook Plus (a one-time purchase) is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment method, or other payment information; the App only uses the entitlement Apple confirms (whether you own Plus) to turn on its benefits. Refunds are requested from Apple.
6. Things you send or open yourself
The following happen only when you tap a button, and are handled under the policies of wherever you send them.
Share: the Share button in a link's detail view passes the link address to the app you choose through the iOS share sheet.
Export Links (Plus): creates a JSON or CSV file with your saved links' titles, addresses, domains, categories, page kinds, tags, summaries, fields, notes, save dates and finished status, and passes it to the iOS share sheet. You choose where the file goes.
Find on a map: tapping an address or place passes that text to the maps app you choose: Apple Maps, Naver Map or KakaoMap.
Open original: opens the original page in a Safari view inside the App. That visit is handled by Safari.
Clipboard: the App only asks iOS whether the clipboard holds a link, without reading it. It receives the link only when you tap Paste on the banner (the iOS paste button).
Photos: if you change a thumbnail with Choose from Photos, the App receives only the one photo you pick in the iOS photo picker and stores a resized copy on your device. The App does not access your whole photo library.
7. App lock (Face ID)
If you turn on App lock in Settings, iOS verifies you with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. The App only learns whether verification succeeded and cannot access face or fingerprint data.
8. iCloud sync
The App also stores the links and categories in section 1 in your Apple Account's private iCloud storage (a CloudKit private database) and keeps them in sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. There is no sign-up or login for an account of ours, and there is no charge for it.
What syncs: links (address, title, domain, main image and resized image or the thumbnail you chose, page kind, fields, three-line summary, tags, notes, highlighter color, when you saved, opened and finished the link, analysis status and confidence, and whether it was archived) and categories (name, emoji, color, whether Auto-file is on, and order)
What doesn't sync: the text and photo files of archives (Plus) are not sent to iCloud and are stored separately on each device. Settings, ad and purchase information, and ad consent answers also stay on each device.
Links saved with the share extension go into on-device storage first and are sent to iCloud when you open the App.
This data is in your own iCloud and uses your iCloud storage. We can neither see nor receive it. It is managed by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy, and Apple's servers may be located outside your country.
There is no on/off switch inside the App; you can see the status on the iCloud Sync row in the App's Settings. To turn it off, turn off Link Notebook in the Settings app › Apple Account › iCloud on your iPhone. When it is off, or on a device not signed in to iCloud, nothing is exchanged with iCloud and the information stays on the device.
To delete what remains in iCloud, delete the Link Notebook data in iCloud storage management in your iPhone's Settings.
9. Sharing with third parties
Because we do not collect your personal information, we do not share or sell it to third parties. The advertising information in section 4 is processed directly by Google and the information in section 5 by Apple, and the iCloud data in section 8 is stored in your own Apple Account and managed by Apple. The App contains no analytics tools and no accounts.
10. Children's privacy
The App is not directed primarily at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Your choices
You can delete links in their detail view and categories in Manage Categories; deleting them also removes them from your other devices with the same Apple Account and from iCloud. You can delete this device's archives with Clear All under Settings > Plus > Archive. Deleting the App erases all of this information from this device, and the data in iCloud can be deleted as described in section 8.
You can stop iCloud sync by turning off Link Notebook in the Settings app › Apple Account › iCloud on your iPhone.
Turning off Read page body under Settings > Analysis stops the App from downloading page bodies; it then gets only the title and main image.
You can change ad tracking and consent as described on the Privacy Choices page.
You can manage the advertising information Google processes in My Ad Center, or ask Google directly for access or deletion.
